Throughout my career, I have advanced from hands-on research and lab operations to leading automation engineering teams at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Myriad Genetics, specializing in designing and implementing automated workflows for biofuels research and genomics applications.

Responsibilities at insitro:

As a Senior Automation Engineer, I drive the translation of scientific workflows onto automation systems by designing, developing, and qualifying workcells and liquid handling protocols, ensuring equipment reliability, defining process-specific QC metrics, collaborating across machine learning, software, and scientific teams, and identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency in automation development, testing, and deployment.
